
Microsoft India, on June 13, announced plans to launch AI digital labs in the nation in collaboration with 10 higher educational institutions, including ISB and BITS Pilani.
As revealed by Microsoft in a statement, it will provide curriculum and content, infrastructure, developer support, and access to cloud and artificial intelligence (AI) services to select institutions.
The company further added that this association with educational institutions will enhance institutional set-up by adding to the educator’s capability and provide students with relevant educational choices by helping them acquire required skills.
“As AI becomes mainstream, organizations will require talent with skill sets that are very different from what exist now. Educators and institutions are integral to the skilling revolution taking root in the country,” said Microsoft India President Anant Maheshwari.
He further added that by providing the right technological curriculum, training, infrastructure, and students will be able to build the India of tomorrow.
BITS Pilani, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, BML Munjal University, Trident Academy of Technology, Kalpataru Institute of Technology, SVKM (NMIMS), KL University, Karunya University, Periyar University, and ISB are covered under this program.
The
faculty of these institutions will be trained on AI, internet of things, cloud
computing, and data sciences. They will also be assisted in strategizing
curricula and content for experiential and project-based learning, as per the
statement.
