The Clarets have signed Manchester City’s out of favor goalkeeper Joe hart for a fee of around £3.5 million. The deal will keep the former England no.1 at Turf Moor for two years.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has brought the former Manchester City no.1 because of the injuries sustained by fellow goalkeepers Nick Pope and Tom Heaton.

Hart has won two English Premier and a FA Cup with Manchester City and has made nearly 350 appearances for the Citizens. He has also represented England in 75 games.

Hart fell out of favor at City after current Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola joined the club. He made just one appearance for the Citizens after the appointment of Guardiola and was replaced from his starting role by Bravo and then Ederson.

After falling out of favor at City, Hart had a loan spell in the Serie A with Torino and then another one back in the Premier League with London-based club West Ham.

Joe Hart had been wanting a permanent move away from City after Guardiola made it clear that he had no future with the club as a member of the first-team.

Hart was not including the City squad that defeated Chelsea in the Community Shield match on Sunday.

Nick Pope took the Premier League by storm, after replacing the injured Tom Heaton last season and made crucial saves to help the Clarets have a shot at the UEFA Europa League.

Pope was selected in the England squad for the FIFA World Cup held in Russia ahead of Joe Hart.

Pope is expected to be out of action for 3 months, after he dislocated his shoulder during Burnley’s Europa League qualifying first-leg tie in Aberdeen.

The Claret’s other English goalkeeper, Tom Heaton has still not fully recovered from a calf injury, that he sustained during a league match last season.

Joe Hart will be joined by centre back Ben Gibson, who arrived at Turf Moor for a club record fee of £15 million.
