The CEO of Tesla Elon Musk during podcast with comedian Joe Rogan smoked marijuana live on the web.

As Mr. Rogan and Mr. Musk discussed about the public’s perception of Mr. Musk and discussed tech innovation, Mr. Rogan offered Mr. Musk the joint he was smoking. Marijuana is a legal drug in the state of California.

Before taking a drag of the joint, Elon Musk asked Rogan whether it is legal to smoke marijuana in California or not.

Following Elon Musk’s appearance on the show, shares of Tesla fell by 9%.

It was last month that Elon Musk tweeted about his plans to make Tesla private. Regarding to that tweet, he said that he was not on weed when he tweeted.

In an interview with the New York Times the business leader made the comments.

Mr. Musk also told the New York Times that he works 120 hours every week and takes sedatives.

Following an outrage from a few investors, his controversial plans regarding the ownership of Tesla was dropped two weeks later.
