Roberto Firmino and Neymar found the back of the net as Brazil defeated a youthful USA team in a friendly match in New Jersey.
It took the Selecao only 11 minutes to take the lead as the Liverpool forward Firmino found the back of the net from a low Douglas Costa cross from the close range.
Brazil’s second goal came from the spot after Fabinho was judged to have been fouled inside the 18 yards box. Neymar took the spot kick and ensured that Brazil had a two-goal advantage.
This was Neymar’s 57th goal for the Selecao’s in 91 games for his country.
Everton forward Richarlison was also handed his international debut by coach Tite. Richarlison came on a second half substitute.
Elsewhere, Uruguay beat Mexico 4-1 in Houston, courtesy a brace from Luis Suarez. Colombia defeated Venezual 2-1 in Miami and Ecuador beat Jamaica in a match that was also being played in New Jersey.
Finally, it was an Argentina side who against Guatemela 3-0 in Los Angeles in their very first game since they lost to France in the World Cup.
