New Arsenal boss Unai Emery has asked midfielder Aaron Ramsey to concentrate on his football amid the ongoing contract talks with the London-based club.
Aaron Ramsey will be a free-agent next summer, but Arsenal boss has challenged the Wales international to show his “capacity to help the team”.
The 27-year-old Welshman was not included in the starting eleven in the London derby against Chelsea but could be back in action when Arsenal face West Ham this Saturday.
Arsenal have seen on-pitch matter being overshadowed by drawn-out contract talks before. Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil have all proved to be a problem to the former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Wilshere and Sanchez have moved to other clubs, after the negotiations falling out.
Former German international, Mesut Ozil, who announced that he won’t be playing international football after Russia 2018, became the club’s highest-paid player when he finalized the contract in January.
Arsenal have already handed in a new contract to the Welsh midfielder, but according to the reports, Ramsey is asking for a significant hike in his salary o his current deal.
The Welsh midfiedler has featured in 234 Premier League games and has scored 36 goals, since leaving his hometown club Cardiff City in £4.8 million move.
