Liverpool signs Alisson, Makes him the most expensive Goalkeeper

Roma’s Alisson is now the world’s most expensive goalkeeper after Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool made their fourth signing of the season.

Alisson broke the long-standing record for the most expensive goalkeeper of the world which was previously held by Juventus’s GG Buffon.

The Merseyside team didn’t reveal the price they paid to acquire the services of the Brazilian number one, but Roma said the deal is worth £66.8m (72.5m euros).

“In terms of my life and my career, it’s a huge step for me being part of this club and this family,” said the 25-year-old.

He has been at Roma for two years, playing 37 Serie A games in 2017-18.

Alisson is Liverpool’s fourth signing of the season after Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabinho.
