Amazon is putting forth Prime members who utilize its Visa rewards card 5% money back when they shop at Whole Foods, the company said Tuesday.
The U.S. web-based e-commerce titan launched the Amazon Rewards Visa Card a year ago. Prime members in the U.S., who pay $99 a year for a membership, get 5% back on all Amazon.com buys, 2 percent back at eateries, service stations and drugstores, and 1 percent back on every other buy.
Presently Prime members will get 5% back at Whole Foods stores when utilizing the Visa card.
Non-Prime members will get 3% back when utilizing their Mastercard.
Amazon procured Whole Foods a year ago for $13.7 billion. From that point forward, it has been hoping to incorporate the business. The e-commerce giant has been cutting costs and even started offering its Echo smart speaker gadget in Whole Foods stores.
Earlier this month, Amazon said it will begin delivering groceries from Whole Foods by means of its two-hour Prime Now delivery service.
