Shares of Tata Motors BSE -1.10 % ended higher on Monday after the auto major on Friday posted 57.67 % increase in total sales at 52,464 units in November.
The company had sold 33,274 units in the same month last year, Tata Motors said in a statement.
Domestic sales of commercial vehicles (CV) jumped 71.91 % to 35,307 units last month as against 20,538 units in the same month last year.
The scrip gained 1.06 % to close at Rs 403.40 on BSE. Shares of the company opened at Rs 408 and touched a high and low of Rs 411 and Rs 402, respectively.
In another announcement, Tata Motors on December 2 said it has delivered 50 new buses to Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation BSE -0.75 % (BMTC). The new delivery is a part of the larger order of 1,385 buses bagged by Tata Motors earlier this year, the company said in a statement.
On the BSE, 5.77 lakh shares were traded on the counter so far as against average daily volumes of 5.09 lakh shares in the past one quarter.
