Union Minister Jayant Sinha yesterday said that Air India’s international and domestic operations would be sold together.

The government has started the procedure for vital disinvestment of debt laden Air India as a major aspect of endeavors to resuscitate the national carrier.

The Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Jayant Sinha said, “What we will be offering through the bidding process is the integrated airline (Air India), which means both domestic and international operations (together).”

On the disinvestment procedure, he said the government is still in the process of distinguishing which auxiliaries of Air India ought to be offered independently.

Jayant Sinha, the Minister of State for Civil Aviation also said, “Even if they are offered separately, if you want to bid for each one of them and re-integrate them, we are providing flexibility.”
